Welcome to the Latin Club website of Northside College Prep (NCP), home of the Mustangs. The NCP Latin Club is a chapter of the Illinois Junior Classical League and the National Junior Classical League. The NCP Latin Club is composed of all those students taking Latin or otherwise interested in Classical studies.

Latin Club meetings are held on the Tuesday of every week. Certamen practice may be held more frequently according to availability.

January 30th, 2010 - Art projects and new readings
With the start of the new semester, art projects are due the first week of February during class, either the first or second class of the week (depends on when you want to bring it).
New Bullfinch readings have also been posted under homework.

January 8th, 2010 - Latin Literacy Exam
As discussed in class, we are going to be taking a new test in Latin class, the Latin Literacy exam, and Latin Club will be paying for anyone interested in participating. If you are interested, let Mr. Tylinski know in class. The test itself will be held in the first week of February. All Latin 1 will be taking the Level I exam, Latin 2 will take Level II, and Latin 3 and 4 will take Level III. The Level II exam also requires knowledge of the Level I list, and the Level III exam requires knowledge of the Level I and II lists as well. You can access the list here.
