Minutes
of meeting called by Kavinda Wewegama on November 23, 2005 at 11:25 am.
- Kavinda, seconded by Andrew, called Latin Club to order on November 23, 2005 at 11:25 AM.
- Kavinda talked about how we have received the constitution and some officers have already reviewed it.
- It
was proposed to reject article IV which limits the area of those who
are eligible to be members of IJCL North. [It had previously been
proposed but since it was submitted late it was not passed but now it
has been incorporated into the constitution].
- Rejection of the proposed IJCL Constitution was passed unanimously.
- A motion to review and decide on proposed amendments by Adam and seconded by David:
- Make
an office of technology coordinator who’s duties is to develop
website, maintain list of members, post minutes and constitution
on-line and keep the website up to date].
- Kavinda makes a motion to pass proposed amendment, passed unanimously.
- Additions
to duties of Secretary [should send the minutes to all chapters within
2 weeks of meeting and must help technology coordinator post minutes
on-line].
- Kavinda makes a motion to pass proposed amendment, passed unanimously.
- Addition
to Parliamentarian [send constitution to all the chapters at the
beginning of the year, and help Technology Coordinator post
constitution on-line]
- Kavinda makes a motion to pass proposed amendment, passed unanimously.
- Article IV section 1, region of eligible IJCL members bound to all of Illinois
- Kavinda makes a motion to pass proposed amendment, passed unanimously.
- A newspaper like The Torch
- Kavinda motioned to end the meeting seconded by Velasco.
