Latin Club Board Meeting Minutes
January 24, 2008
Called to Order - 12:08 p.m.

  1. IJCL T-shirts
    • Katy sent out an email about submitting a potential t-shirt design to the Aediles
    • We have only one design so far
    • Voting will be delayed due to a shortage of designs
    • We need more designs, so announcements will be made in class and another email will be sent out
    • We need to call the company to get details
    • The t-shirt will have a teal background and a white foreground
  2. IJCL Spirit
    • We need to appoint spirit leaders
    • We need a list of cheers
    • We will practice the cheers in class
    • 'Dynamite' is a must
    • The Aediles will collect spirit fees of $10
    • We need to figure out ideas for the themes
    • We have an idea for 'Saturday Morning Cartoons' day
  3. IJCL Roll Call
    • We want to make this year's roll call more serious than previous years, to account for the lack of a skit
    • An email will be sent out to look for writers
  4. Katy's Election
    • Katy is figuring out her campaign
    • She does not want to use candy
    • She needs a speech written
    • She needs a slogan
  5. Northside Megafest (May 18)
    • It's a fundraiser for Northside that targets the community
    • Latin Club will have a presentation
    • We may sell stuff, but most likely not
  6. Valentine's Day Service Project
    • Making Valentines for the members of a senior home
  7. IJCL Oratory Try-Outs
    • We need to set a date
    • We need to get judges
    • Mr. Tylinski and/or people that have won in the past should judge
  8. Certamen Meet at Barrington
    • Mr. Benincasa will be our chaperone
  9. Bucephalus
    • Sika is putting the newsletter together
  10. Cheating on Exams
    • Every class has been cheating
    • Outside of the Latin Clubs jurisdiction
    • We will suggest solutions to Mr. Tylinski
