Sponsor - Mr. Tylinski

    Not too long after the birth of Northside College Prep HS, Mr. Tylinski became the institution's Latin teacher. Since its inception, the Latin program has grown to national prominence under his tutelage.  He still continues to be the school's only Latin teacher and on days when he is not teaching his after-school Journalism class, he sponsors the Latin Club's meetings and Certamen practices.  Working tirelessly, he consistently inspires his students and helps them excel higher and higher. 
    Just as his students have received accolades for their performance, Mr. Tylinski too has won distinctions for his outstanding contributions.  These recognitions include the 2005 Illinois Senior Classical League Teacher of the Year Award [pictured left], 2006 Farrand Baker Illinois Teacher of the Year Award from the Illinois Classical Conference, and induction into the National Honor Roll's Outstanding American Teachers.

   Congratulations to Mr. Tylinski on receiving the 2010 Illinois Senior Classical League Teacher of the Year Award at the IJCL Convention for the second time!
