2001-02 Illinois Certamen League

State Finals
    On April 30, 2002, at Elgin Larkin High School, the championship match of the Illinois Certamen League, pitting the winners of the Northern, Southern, and Western Sections, was held. Northside’s Latin I Certamen Team, composed of Mark Spreitzer, Jacqueline Lewandowski, Michael Pomeranz, and Joseph Kaiser, came out victorious. The Latin I Certamen Team ended its year of competition undefeated, with 5 major championships.
    Mark Spreitzer also received a medal as the outstanding Latin I Certamen player in the Northern Section of the Illinois Certamen League.
