Northside Latin Club, together with Key Club and Red Cross Club, organized a penny war between all the classes to fundraise for Haiti from February 1-10. Together, we raised a total of $1,240.00 which will go to the American Red Cross and Partners in Health. Thank you to everyone who donated, and I would to like to especially thank Elizabeth Jay for all the extra hours she put in for helping me count the money, along with David Jaffe, Rachel Spaulding, and Rachel Miklaszewski.
Thanks to everyone,
Alexandra Rojek
With the start of the new semester, art projects are due the first week of February during class, either the first or second class of the week (depends on when you want to bring it).
New Bullfinch readings have also been posted under homework.
As discussed in class, we are going to be taking a new test in Latin class, the Latin Literacy exam, and Latin Club will be paying for anyone interested in participating. If you are interested, let Mr. Tylinski know in class. The test itself will be held in the first week of February. All Latin 1 will be taking the Level I exam, Latin 2 will take Level II, and Latin 3 and 4 will take Level III. The Level II exam also requires knowledge of the Level I list, and the Level III exam requires knowledge of the Level I and II lists as well. You can access the list here.
The minutes for the November 24th board meeting have now been posted.
